The 0-4-0 Saddle Tank locomotive No19 has now arrived back at the Bodmin & Wenford Railway following long term hire at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway in South Wales.
Phil Hawke, Chairman of the Cornish Steam Locomotive Preservation Society comments: "Due to a change in boiler inspection standards the boiler has now been taken out of service due to excessive wear on the side stays. The engine has now returned to Bodmin for inspection of the locomotive to determine how we carry out the work necessary to return No19 to steam. Naturally we are saddend to have to terminate the locomotive's lease to the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway, particularly as it was receiving such high quality care and attention."
