The hunt is on to find child to star alongside Santa in Railway’s Christmas film.

The hunt is on to find child to star alongside Santa in Railway’s Christmas film.

Published: 9th October 2017

Bodmin & Wenford Railway are on the hunt for the perfect little helper for Father Christmas, to play the role of a child writing their Christmas letter to Santa ahead of the steam railway’s Santa by Steam train trips this year.

The Railway are looking for a child aged between 5 and 10 years to take part in the Railway’s Christmas Santa by Steam train film, to be created by Pirate 360 - Pirate FM’s new creative agency.

Santa’s little helper required to play a starring role in Bodmin & Wenford Railway’s Christmas film for their Santa by Steam train trips this December.

Not only will the successful applicant star alongside Father Christmas himself in a film which will be widely publicised, much to the delight of proud family and friends, but they’ll also win tickets to travel on one of the Railway’s Santa by Steam trains during December. These trips prove a huge hit with families across the county, where passengers have the chance to travel by steam with the elves, and visit Santa’s grotto aboard the train where Santa just might have a gift waiting for each child (if they’ve been good of course!). The festive visit to the Railway also includes carols on the platform with Liskeard band, and mulled wine and mince pies for the grown ups.

Hannah Irwin, Visitor, Events & Marketing Manager at Bodmin & Wenford Railway says, “Santa knows when we need him, and hair and make up is booked to make sure that beard is looking just perfect. Now we’re just after someone to fill the final starring role! Each year we welcome so many families with their children to experience the magic of steam train travel and Santa come December, so who better to tell the story than one of the young passengers themselves.”

Santa’s little helper must be available for filming on Monday 23rd October. To apply visit www.piratefm.co.uk and fill in the online form. Santa by Steam tickets from Bodmin & Wenford Railway are on sale now. Book online here or call 01208 73555.
