Class 37, 37142 is to celebrate her 50th Birthday this year hauling trains on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway, in Cornwall, where she has been based since her restoration in 2003.
37142 was a regular visitor to Bodmin on china clay trains during its time based at Laira depot. It arrived at Bodmin during 2003 and was returned to working order in 2004 and repainted into 1970s BR Blue during 2005,which was the livery it carried during its working years in Cornwall in the late 70s/early 80s.

Since her restoration in 2003, she performed with little fault up the hills and grades of the Bodmin & Wenford Railway until in 2009, 37142 was failed with major leaks coming from the cylinders which implemented an engine overhaul and repaint, which was completed in 2012.
