In spite of the meterological mayhem on Monday 28th October the BWR ran a full half term timetable with no delays or cancellations. The line was checked early in the morning for fallen trees and any flooding and was found to be unaffected.
Winds accross Cornwall reached gale force eight with gusts to storm force ten, and mainline services were subject to severe delays and some cancellations. When the first train of the day arrived at Bodmin Parkway the crew of 4247 were given an ironic cheer by stranded mainline passengers.
